Bukhara State Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve
The Bukhara State Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve is the largest museum association in Bukhara, dedicated to the preservation, study and promotion of the historical and cultural heritage of the Bukhara Oasis. Its structure includes the Ark, Sitorai Mokhi-Khossa, Magoki-Attari, Paikend and other museums and monuments.
About
The history of the Bukhara Museum begins in 1922. Today the museum-reserve unites numerous architectural monuments, museum expositions, archaeological sites and stock collections.
Its structure includes the regional local history museum in the Ark citadel, the museum of decorative and applied arts in Sitorai Mokhi-Khossa, the carpet museum in Magoki-Attari, the museum of the history of ancient Paikend, the museum of the history of blacksmithing, the house-museum of a wealthy merchant and other sites.
