Siab Bazaar
Samarkand’s best-known historic market: flatbread, spices, dried fruit, halva and lively local trade.
About
Siab Bazaar sits in the old town next to the Bibi-Khanym Mosque and shows Samarkand’s everyday life. You can taste the famous Samarkand flatbread and pick out spices, dried fruit, nuts, halva and other local sweets. Mornings are the most atmospheric; an hour or an hour and a half is enough to walk the rows. Entry is free; you pay only for what you buy.
