Plov Samarqand ethno courtyard: wood-fired plov
Wood-fired plov and tandoor bread in a courtyard furnished like an Uzbek home of forty years ago.
About
The chef takes guests through the whole making of plov, from lighting the fire to serving, and the flatbread is baked in a tandoor. The programme also includes a salad, tea with bread, tasting what you have cooked, a folk theatre show and a photo session in the courtyard; you leave with a recipe booklet and a certificate. The class takes 2–3 hours and starts at 9:00, 10:00 or 11:00, in English, Russian or Uzbek. The organiser quotes $25 per person, paid on arrival. Book on polovsamarqand.uz, via Telegram @Etno_hovli or by phone.
