Registan Square is the crown jewel of Samarkand and one of the most iconic landmarks of Central Asia. The square is framed by three magnificent madrasas: Ulugh Beg Madrasa (1417-1420), Sher-Dor Madrasa (1619-1636), and Tilya-Kori Madrasa (1646-1660). Each building showcases masterful examples of Islamic architecture, featuring elaborate geometric patterns, calligraphy, and mosaic tilework in vivid blues, turquoises, and golds.
The name 'Registan' means 'sandy place' in Persian, as this was once the city's main marketplace. Today it serves as the ceremonial heart of Samarkand and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, a spectacular light show illuminates the facades of all three madrasas, creating an unforgettable experience. Visitors should plan at least 1-2 hours to explore the interior courtyards and climb the minarets for panoramic city views.

Один из самых красивых архитектурных комплексов, которые я когда-либо видел. Мозаика и плитка великолепны. Обязательно посетите вечернее световое шоу.
